Going away for a few days, or even a few months? Let us take the worry out of your trip. The Harrington Park Police Department offers Vacant house checks to our residents everyday. All you need to do, is come in with your date of departure, arrival, and contact numbers along with any type of lights on or set on timers and cars in your driveway. Unfortunately we will NOT check up on pets or do any home maintenance. Anything found disturbed will be noted, and Newspapers will be picked up. Packages left by UPS, FedEx etc, will be picked up by the officer and brought to police headquarters. At which time they will sit in a secure area until you arrive from your trip.
